FOH'ers Daily Smoke

A dear work colleague of my wife recently went to Cuba and brought back this custom roll. They stored it in an open environment for a bit over a month until they gifted it to me. Since I live in an environment which is very agreeable to minimal effort for storing cigars (the average afternoon relative humidity in autumn is 58 to 60%), this didn't concern me too much. The Cuban roller told my wife's work colleague to dip the cigar in honey prior to lighting. I knew immediately what type of blend to expect.

1) Did I dip this is in honey? No!

2) Did I store this with my other cigars in my humidor? What, are you crazy...and risk a beetle infection?

3) Did this taste like a Cohiba Siglo III? You better believe it friends!

4) Do I like Cohiba Siglo III's? Seriously dumb question that!

5) What do you make of that rustic and toothy wrapper? Nothing...this puro still delivered Cohiba grass/hay, honey and cream notes of glory!

6) What is too youthful? Hell yeah, it needed 3 to 5 years judging by the intensity in the last third!

7) Would I do it again? See the answer to question 4.

I'm sensing not even a modicum of guilt from the taking of this young life!

Dip it in Honey have not heard that before

A long time ago it was customary to dip in cognac to add moisture to your cigar, but we are talking pre-humidor times. Apparently, some in Cuba dip in honey and/or rum! :surprised:
