An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Hoyo de Monterrey Maravillas from the 2015 Collection Book
I spent the last 2.5 hours smoking this behemoth cigar, right off the truck.  They looked so good I couldn’t help myself.  The wrapper was smooth and silky to the touch, perfect construction, and a smell that was out of this world.
The first 1/3 was dominated by rich leather and wood flavors which lasted about an hour.  It was outstanding.  The middle portion lost those flavors and became mostly black pepper, which isn’t my favorite cigar profile, but after about a half an hour of that, it became enjoyable again with more sweet flavors of waffles and syrup.  That continued through the final 1/3 and became more intense adding flavors of gingerbread to the finish.
That sounds like an amazing journey!

Looks great!! How was it?

Good not great.  Felt aged - fairly mild, good construction, just a roasted nut flavor throughout.
