OLM FEB 15 ERDM Demi Tasse.  What an interesting smoke. Really enjoyed the flavors, but was just a tad more strength than I expected. Not bad, just unexpected.

Fruity with a punch, toasted tobacco, medium roast coffee, butter short bread cookie, and angel food cake a plenty towards the end. 

About 25-30 minutes(I'm a slow smoker) of just CC goodness.  A box may be in line for the upcoming winter. Thanks @MigsG.

It’s a good cigar for sure. I don’t think you missed anything by waiting it out. really just came round in the last six months for me. Still, plenty of legs.

Started the morning off with an '18 La Trova and local coffee.

After a big grilled rib eye, had to have this  '17 SP Belicosos, paired with an Argentinian beer. So good.

This has been one of the worst box of cigars I've ever had, or I have robbed them of the necessary time they've needed to rest bc almost every single one starts off decent, typical monte flavors, then halfway through the first third it begins to tunnel and struggles to stay lit the rest of the way/requires endless touchups. Ive seen many of you blessed with lighter wrappers which seem to be smoking a dream. Humidors are at 64 RH, all the other cigars have been smoking fine. Only this dark wrapper box has given me issues. I keep going back to Monte, even though they consistantly let me down.

Siglo I 2018 picked up from a 1/4 box buy on 24:24.

Packed with quite a nice flavour range of cedar, grassiness, leather touches and coffee bean. Teamed up superbly with my Americano style morning coffee.

It just something I get from QDO a mixture of toasted oats and cream.  In my head it registers as very pleasing/comforting porridge like flavour.

Trinidad Robustos Extra OUS Sep 2009

My second Trinidad Robustos Extra from this box did not disappoint, much like my first one. It made me wonder why these were discontinued in 2012, after all, these have always had a solid reputation for being a quality Habanos cigar.

Again, much like my first one, this did not have your quintessential coffee and dough found prominently in Trinidad vitolas these days. Rather, the flavour reminiscent of Trinidad flavours for when this cigar was around, flavours such as tea, leather, grass or hay and a little honey. The cream and butter aspect to this cigar that was so dominant in my first one from this box was again there. The difference in this Trinidad Robustos Extra though was in the saltiness, especially more so from the end of the first third onwards. I was taken aback by how salty this was, mainly because my first one had no determinable salt in comparison. What would be the best way to analogise it? Perhaps by comparing quality unsalted butter to quality salted butter, for the cream and butter in this cigar remained wonderfully constant throughout.

If you have been fortunate enough to have sampled the recent LCDH Trinidad La Trova release and come across an opportunity to sample this cigar, make sure you do so as they have their similarities and their differences.
