2001 CCE. Perfect cigar...other than this one suffers from a bit of Peyronie’s disease! 

Have been smoking through those really really good peak boxes that I’ve been holding onto the last 2-3....year end cleanup. Fun task!

I’m very sad to say, this is the last of my Capitolios.  All 10 have been outstanding cigars, including this one.  Definitely the best QDOs I have smoked in many years.  When I bought the box in Paris back in April, little did I know how much I would like them.  When I smoked one, I immediately regretted not buying 5 or 10 boxes.

They have some similarities in the flavor profile, but these are more complex, and have a higher flavor intensity.  And from a price standpoint, you get much more cigar for your money.  In Paris, they were only a little bit more money. But the only place I have found them online, they cost twice as much as in the brick and mortar in Paris.

I've been smoking '18s and '19s, enjoying both 50s and 54. All personal preference really. I like them now, but will most likely just improve with age. I can see them plateauing quick possibly.

Unlike @JohnS recent mini review, I like my mag 46 young, untamed and angry. Like smoking a raw cedar plank and cinnamon stick with a partagas-like fiery burn on the retrohale. Oh yea.

Took a 1/2 day and decided to come to local cigar lounge. It Party time. Smoking the Lusi first and then P2 if I have time. If not D4. HDM DC just in case Lusitania is a dud. Lusitania is from 99, P2 09, D4 08 wnd HdM DC from 08.

Diplomáticos No.2 EML Ago 2014

What a contrast this Diplomaticos No.2 was in relation to the last one. And yes, they came from the same box! The last one was strong on capsicum or bell pepper and paprika spice, was toasty and I had to sip it slowly due to the strong smoke output per draw. This, on the other hand, was replete in sourdough goodness, was woody, had a little capsicum (or bell pepper) and paprika spice and the texture of the cigar on the palate was completely different, more akin to an older cigar than my last one.

Would I prefer one or the other? I would prefer this one according to my preference. However, if the next Diplomaticos No.2 from the box is like this one or the last one, I'd be perfectly fine with either.

Late last night, easily the best CoRo I have ever smoked (I know it was a 2014 El Laguito but tossed the box a while ago). 

This blew away the CoRo Reserva I smoked a few days ago. I am generally a believer in the reserva/GR lineup.
