Nino Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Had a great day with Chris aka Chance Schmerr in Frankfurt yesterday. Picked him up at his hotel, he was fit as a Nike running shoe despite an overnight flight and got to enjoy his lay-over ! Started at 1030 with a morning H.Upmann Majestic and Cafe con leche in the sun, progressed to a BHK 52 out of El Laguito waiting for our lunch order to be taken, had a great & filling lunch with lots of conversations and fun, smoked a Robaina farm cigar from late '11, walked back to the old Opera house and finished the day off with a RyJ Nr 2 ( for Chris ) and a Diplo Nr 4 ( for me ). Regrettably he didn't find any German ER's in FRA - he'll comment on that - but he found a good time, I hope. Lovely day and I got to re-discover my former "home town" thanks to Chris ! Then, after finally making it home, I had a 2002 or older (no BD, but old band) a Monte Especiales #2 that I had picked up at the Davidoff store in Moncaco. Unfortunately, the bad storage had taken it's toll - muted flavors and harshness in the last third.
