Thanks for the response. I can’t tell yet whether I like these more than the Mille Fleurs, which I remember (been over a year and more) since I had some. I tend to like all Partagas but these so far but I still can’t tell it apart from the rest.

DIC 19. Sounds like it could need some more rest. For now I like the Super Partagas and of course the Party Shorts more. I detect some harshness so maybe I’ll rest the remaining sticks for a while.  Too many choices, now I’m remembering how good Mille Fleurs can actually be, a little light on flavor but also good!

De Rio Seco. Original release. Curtousy of @Lrabold89. Sorry bro. This is similar to my other experiences. Very mild, not full on flavor, and one (maybe two) dimensional. There is a ginger on the retro hale thar is truly amazing though. Maybe I'm partial to big strength stogies.

I didn't mean to offend, Dan.  It was not meant to be a serious response.  I was joking around about how your CoRo looked after you fixed the draw problem.  You mangled it a bit.  I'm sure it tasted as good as any unmangled CoRo I may have smoked.  Nothing to do with factory or the quality of the cigar.  If it came out that way in print, I apologize.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 ABO Jun 2018

Simply put, I believe this is the best ever Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 I've ever had! The reason I say this is because it smoked and tasted perfectly ideal. How ironic this is my last stick from this box code!

It's not uncommon to smoke a HdM Epicure No.2 and have some element of cedar or wood and/or spice/cinnamon or pepper to the cigar. This did not smoke like that. Instead, I got a gorgeous powdered soft cocoa, vanilla malt and cream textured smoke from the first puff right unto the last. Sure it picked up a little in the last third in toasted tobacco-like intensity but this is to be expected. It didn't prevent me from nubbing this as far I could possibly take it!

Like my previous cigar smoked, a 2009 Cohiba Siglo VI, it's not an exaggeration to rate this above the 95 point mark because honestly it was that good. I hope the next Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 you smoke is as good as this one. In the meantime, I'm off to ponder replacing this box in my humidor!

Thanks it's really useful.

But it looks even cooler in photos than it does in real life. It's actually a thin tube (looks like a pale neon tube) in the middle that glows orange and the rest is just mirrors to reflect the infrared heat rays. But in photos the whole things glows orange.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that. Most everyone I know has a regular patio heater like you see at restaurants. Definitely cool looking. Been wanting one for years but haven’t done it.
