Will be hiding rest of this box I think for a while, and cracking a fresh one open, and I will pray to the “Aged Tobacco” Gods for a resurrection of flavor. Abandoned ship on the Coloniales, fired up an Ex 4. Full of leather, cream, biscuit, and just for @rcarlson, a finish of charred cherries on the roof of my mouth. McDonald’s Cherry pie in a stick. Ah yes, I rented in Kahana probably a decade ago one time, Polynesian Shores complex maybe? Could have been Papakea I think they were near each other and my memory is fuzzy. Yup, Maui Brewing Co is a few blocks north of me...I look out at S-turns surf spot, very near Polynesian Shores. Papakea is a mile or so closer to Ka’anapali. All in the same area. They were never great Cigars, but were pretty good for the price. This one just had very little flavor other than mild tobacco and some bitterness, and made my mouth feel dry. Not sure if it was a dud, or i got too spoiled with the great Cigars I smoked all month in honor of my birthday. The Orgullosos really seem to be exceptionally good in my experience. This is only the third one I’ve smoked. I went “light” and only bought three boxes.
