Panatelas Extra, TUR SEP 16.
I've never had one of these before. This is the first one from the box. They're different. Very toasty. More toasty than any other cigar I've ever had. Roasted hazelnut/chestnut notes. Big smoke output for a small cigar. Not very refined, it's pretty rough and bold. Slighty bitter with strength. Despite it's roughness, there is a soft leather foundation holding it up. Very interesting. If you told me it was Honduran I would believe you. Not a Sunday morning "reflection on life" cigar, these are more of a summertime social type smoke.

RyJ Belicosos
One of my favorite RyJ's. Big fan of the belicosos vitola.
Very tasty and always have good burn,draw and construction too.
Its something that I try to keep a few on hand regularly.

Dry boxed after unpacking. Construction appeared excellent & the cigars reeked of chocolate & tobacco. I knew these cigars would/should need rest but couldn't resist. Good baseline of Monte flavors, and draw was adequate, but needed several lighter touch ups & exhibited some youth. Gave up and tossed once the wrapper split (pic). Totally my fault for not being patient here but still have high hopes for these smokes in a year.

Been a long time since I've had a big mouth. Brings back some hazy memories.

Rafael Gonzalez Petit Corona. First time smoking this marca. I’m still fairly new to the hobby but this is one of the most complex (yet balanced) cigars I’ve smoked. For the first time I could definitively identify the “floral” note I keep hearing about. There was also some coffee & cocoa powder, and a flavor I couldn’t quite put my finger on.. So I took a look at @CaptainQuintero’s beginner’s corner and, lo and behold, roast beef is exactly what I was trying to identify! It sounds mad but these flavors really balance out & complement each other.  I’m definitely a fan of these little guys.

This evening I chose a Cuaba Salomones - aptly coded LGR Dic 17. Very pleasant really...nice subtle balance of peanuts, hay, cedar and cocoa. Cheers!

Montecristo No.4 2014.
Weather is quite bad today.
But this cigar is a great daily smoke.
This is my first time to have a Mont No.4. It is stronger than I think, creamy and sweet. Love it.
