QdO 50 SOU DIC 19

RyJ Wide, OMB FEB 16 from the PCC aged program.

These sticks tend to give me trouble (two boxes plus various singles over the years) but they’ve never been more than a couple of years old.  Decided to grab a 6er of these via 24:24 to see what a few more years can do.

Still opened hot and harsh, like the others, but settled down after the first quarter.  Haven’t encountered the often noted hits of cherry.  Definitely getting cream and anise.  Maybe some marzipan? Mouthfuls of wood and light, pleasant spice.

It’s clearly a fine smoke but doesn’t seem to speak to my palate 🤷‍♂️

Enjoyed a good Vigia last night

UBM DIC 18 Pantella.  I have babied these plugged S.o.B's for too long.  Even a perfect draw root canal doesnt fix it.  At what point do you just cough a box up to just being shit?

MAR MAR 20 Siglo II. Lemon zest and shortbread. It arrived 45 days ago and probably needs another 45 for the flavors to get fuller.

One of my favorite smokes and one of the few I stock more than 2 or 3 of like most other cc's.

Hoping to do a box split on them in October

Most of mine have been 2019 or 2020 and smoked great after just a couple months in my tupperdoor

My first of these

Very tasty, definitely on the milder side.

Excellent draw and construction.

Burn was off the entire time in spite of repeated corrections, but that could initially be from having to use a plain old bic lighter, and then smoking a a fairly strong wind after that.

Also did require 3 or 4 puffs to get good smoke volume, as if it was too moist or going out. Been in my tupperdoors like everything else for several months, and came from an individual, not a vendor anyway.

No idea what was up with that, but have had it happen a few times before with other smokes.

Regardless of all that, which I don't think was due to a construction issue with the Cigar, still a pretty good smoke for a relatively lower price for a Robusto size cc.

Nice morning smoke or whenever you want something on the milder side. 

Vega Fina 1998 VF 52

Pretty tasty and excellent draw,burn and construction

Started out a medium, but did pick up a fair bit in the second half.

Not enough to be too strong or too much nicotine though.

All around a pretty good smoke

 

Cuaba Exclusivos

Dont see much posted about Cuaba for some reason.

Very tasty as usual, and slightly tight but acceptable draw as usual.

Construction was excellent.

Burn was a bit off the entire time, but not enough to need correction really . This is common for me with figarados for some reason.

All in all, a really good smoke
