Popular Post LLC
Normally my daughter and son-in-law would be at friends for a party on New Year’s Eve but Covid cancelled that so they came over to our place. Before they arrived I had a great BTO SEP 12 CORO. Great apps and cheese plate with a bottle of wine before dinner. For dinner we had some great steaks on the KJ with lobster for the four of us. A very good bottle of 2012 Pio Cesar with dinner. Desert was a bottle of port, Affogato’s and various chocolates. After we rang in the new year with a bottle of Prosecco they went in our hot tub and I went out in a warm but very foggy night, and started 2022 with a MES SEP 11 BHK 52. Stunning cigar.

Popular Post williamthewolf
Picked my second D5 from this BLT MAR 20 box as my NYE smoke. Was the second ugliest stick in the box so figured it should be sacrificed for the new year. Started off okay. Then got a little tastier. But as soon as I took the band off for the final third it was acrid and chemical tasting so I tossed it. I just don’t have good luck w this vitola across the board. Luckily it’s a small box of 10 and doesn’t take up much space. It tastes like a distant relative of the D4 and D6. The kind of relative you don’t hear from for 10 years that calls you out out of the blue acting real friendly and then hits you with wanting to borrow some money. Take it easy with that Rona and don't let it get it your chest. Hope you feel better and Happy New Year! 3

Yes, it is fantastic rum. I’ve got 2 more bottles left after this one so I’m slowly pacing myself lol.

Popular Post Glass Half Full
Well, this was not the plan for New Year’s. Of course, this can be a tricky ‘holiday," and there are much worse outcomes, …so no complaints here! Enjoying a panatela (AUM Aug 2014) with an espresso and water @ 4 in the afternoon on the 1st. (That may be a tip off …though it wasn’t due to a fun, late night, unfortunately.) ...Tested positive yesterday so have been being good and isolating since. (Wife still testing on the good side, so hopefully the isolating is serving its purpose.) Fortunately, as of this morning, I’ve experienced almost no symptoms (though always seem to be searching for them). It’s been so uneventful that — after further “isolating” (by cleaning the shed, and doing other long-put-off projects) — I finally allowed a cigar to “toast” the New Year. …though only a petite one: a “Smallie” but a goodie Looking forward,-Cliff Glass Half Full ps: Threw in that last pic for Heels82 and Lord Verulam. (I know, I know: Got no crocs man. ...but maybe just enough to join the brochambeau club ...pps: After that delicious but wee thing, I thought: “What the heck? What good is isolating if you can’t even enjoy a cigar?” …So, filled my tiny espresso cup with some Ron de Santiago and lit a second little one (Secreto Maduro ABR Apr 2008 from our hosts). ...Loving it. 24
