When you finally get your hands on this, you will find out for yourself how good, creamy and nutty this tastes. 2014 Bolivar Turkish Regional Edition Bosphorus. The same size as a Partagas D5 or Monte Petit Edmundo at 52 ring gauge by 110mm. This was most unlike a Bolivar cigar. It had no Earthiness or leather, with cream and nut the main flavours, but a different blend to the Diplomatico Bushido and not as mild, much stronger. (Gifted by the current proprietor and founder of Cuban Cigar Website, Alex and Trevor, a big thank you gentlemen!) Gifted by our good friend Trevor (thank you again!), this Romeo y Julieta Seleccion Piramides came from a 2003 Habanos Selection Release of 5 cigars compromising 5 brands: Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas and Hoyo de Monterrey being the others. This cigar proves why you should always be open to trying cigars of marcas you don't normally gravitate to, as Romeo y Julieta I find can be bland to my palate. However, this mild, smooth and spicy treat was outstanding, an example of why we participate in this hobby. A Montecristo No.4 from 2014. This proves that as a cigar smoker, I can also appreciate the standard cigar. El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse (Gifted by Will - thanks!). The first time I've tried this small cigar and it was stronger than I thought it would be. If I get my hands on another I would rest it, but overall I didn't mind it. Montecristo Media Coronas. I had one of these with my brother-in-law (Cuzz on our forum) and he went crazy for it. Look, it's a good release for a smaller cigar in its size. It packs flavour, mainly cocoa, espresso and leather. I would say it's stronger than a Montecristo No.5, but not better, just different. A 45 minute pleasant smoke for me. 2013 Por Larranaga Panatela. When these are on, they are on. You want to smoke these really slow to get maximum benefit out of them, but this was a 55 minute caramel bomb. Not all of these have been so out of my box, but I live in comfort with the thought that one day I will commit to purchasing a cab of Por Larranga Petit Coronas, age them, then drown in caramel! 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bought one coffin blind a couple of years ago on a trip, when I opened it it was one of the ugliest cigars I've seen. scruffy wrappers with spots/blemishes and even a few splits... so I really wasn't expecting much when I finally smoked one. So impressed! Other than the dodgy looking wrapper and a burn that went out a few times, it was a brilliant cigar. Draw was perfect and the burn was at least very straight. Medium-to-full bodied, very smooth and rich with spicy leather flavours, perhaps even a dark chocolate sort of sweetness underlying too. 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A few buddies smoked them probably 4-5 months back and we're not impressed. Seems like the extra time has done it well. A bit lacklustre, i love SLR's and have other regios that have been phenomenal, i think these are a stick best smoked a bit fresher as i feel its lost something along the way... been taking it real slow with this box, hoping that it will better. For today's 49er game I'm enjoying a Johnny O El Laguito I received from Boosted. (Is it bad I hope my Niners get blown out?) IMO, HSA is on a winning streak at the moment. Not a bad one in the bunch. I especially enjoyed the RA LE and PL RE. The Upmann Reserva was tasty but suffered from bad burn. The Davidoff was rather nice, actually - I wanted to smoke a Davidoff in the Davidoff lounge. The CoRo is from my 2008 box. Each month or so that I pull one out I say "this needs more time" I have yet to be wowed by it as I was the first time I smoked one. Perhaps it's because back then I was very new to CCs.
